"“6)Schedule A (A)In general The drug or substance—

(i)has—

(I)a chemical structure that is substantially similar to the chemical structure of a controlled substance in schedule I, II, III, IV, or V; and

(II)an actual or predicted stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system that is substantially similar to or greater than the stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system of a controlled substance in schedule I, II, III, IV, or V"

So anything that is stimulating, relaxing, or possibly psychoactive that works can be made into a schedule drug within 30 days without the normal procedures for drug scheduling that usually involves the FDA and Department of Health and Human Services,. This covers pretty much all brain supplements, nootropics, and research chemicals. With this we will never see a new brain supplement and nearly all can be removed with a whim.

Here's the full bill. https://www.govtrack...115/hr2851/text

To anyone who values their legal right to access research chemicals, nootropics, brain supplements, kratom, CBD, this is the time to do something. It just cleared the house and the senate is up next after that there is no stopping it.

It appears they are using the hysteria generated by the pharmaceutical-industry-driven opioid epidemic to grab more market for the pharmaceutical industry. And that they want to make chemicals illegal because they may have "predicted" positive mental effects is astounding.

Kava, kratom cbd, bacopa, ginkgo, phenylalanine, st johns wort, rhodiola,  etc it'll all fall under the DEA now.

So even if its a substance that isn't controlled and isn't even a research chemical that a company is researching, then if it has a greater effect than a real pharmaceutical drug, then that substance is banned.

They will lock you up with cocaine users for using yohimbe for ED or phenibut for insomnia.

This is all encompassing. They are literally taking control over EVERYTHING. This isn't just bath salts or steroids... It is everything. Pretty soon we will be left with nothing but vitamin c and aspirin or else you will be a drug felon.

Not greater effect but any effect even a PREDICTED effect. So they could claim it works like x drug then ban it solely based on that. So even though kratom is safer than say heroin they can just look at the receptor affinity and say well it's an opioid similar to heroin and ban it. Same with menthol which is a KOR opioid agonist. Good bye peppermint tea extracts.

All your peptides that increase HGH production.... illegal. 20 years in prison for naturally boosting your OWN hgh.

Testosterone boosters (not that they work very good) will likely be illegal as they VERY mildly mimic testosterone and anabolics. Wham! 20 years in prison!

Caffeine will be illegal to buy (except when in the form of coffee and tea) because it competes with Modinafil.

Creatine could be illegal since it is a myostatin inhibitor.

They are also making illegal to be a home scientist. If you want to do science then you have to work for a big pharma company or a university - no exceptions.

Life in the USA really sucks and it used to be great even just 25 years ago.

This is the reason why I shake my head every time I hear a longevity advocate or nootropic user claim that we need regulation. This is regulation. Everyone likes to envision that regulation means the rules that they think are smart but in reality they are drafted by people who have no understanding nor care about anything other than control.

For those who are not paying attention the future is a highly regulated world where bureaucrats determine what you can and cannot use based off of arbitrary determinations of safety requirements. 5 kids die from eating Tide Pods? Banned. 30 people die after using kratom along with four other drugs? Ban kratom. And people are getting more and more accustomed to these regulatory controls over the most ridiculously small rates of injuries.

Their method is to do a Pareto analysis, where the top 10% of substances cause 80% of the problems, and the bottom 10% cause 1% of the problems. And they go after that 1%. After all, as Stalin observed, “If only one man dies of hunger, that is a tragedy. If millions die, that is only statistics.” The ultimate was the banning of cannabis, from which no one has ever died.
