Hi all

I've been taking Niagen for the past month at the dose of 250mg per day.  I'm thinking of trying Sam-E (S-Adenosyl methionine) for depression.  I've read that Sam-e can be effective, but I haven't been able to find anything about combining the two.

I was wondering if anyone here takes both, and if so, how did you find it?  Does anyone know of any reason why the two shouldn't be combined?

Thanks all,

dwm

Nope,   should be fine.   Plus both are at least good for you.   I'm scared to wean off of Prozac,   wish I had known there were better options.   Drs suck and destroy lives.   Just don't take anti-deps with those and you should be hunky-dory

Yes I was prescribed meds once or twice but I got too scared to take them. Wish you well.

It actually should be beneficial for NR as it depletes methyl groups and SAMe replenishes them

Just dont take SAMe in the evening as it could be too stimulating and try to space them apart in time if SAMe would not work
