Hi folks,

I am already taking Butyrate for it's anti-aging benefits, especially HDAC inhibition.  In the news today, we have a new study for a very similar molecule in the same pathway, B-Hydroxybutyrate:

The article is about its ability to slow down atherosclerosis, etc. something we should all be interested in.

The thing is that both of these molecules are very similar.  They are both in the same pathway, they are both HDAC inhibitors, and both have numerous other documented beneficial effects.  Also, both are readily available as supplements.

Can anyone provide any reasons, or studies, that might make an argument for choosing one over the other?
