The link is still there but I can't see it when I go to the shop any more:

Just my guess, but the flush 'problem' was likely the major issue'. From that page:

"We felt the benefit from including Niacin was key to the effectiveness of NMN plus, so  we included it in a dosage that research found to incur this side effect in less than 1% of people."

Then they discuss ways to minimize the 'flush'. Personally, I kinda like the flush, but that's just me. It seems to be something many find offensive, and so use nicotinamide instead, even if the physiological effects are different. I made a combo pill to dup MNM Plus initially, and of course, I have no way of knowing if it worked better or not, but they did say they thought it did, so who really knows the answer to that question. Since a while back I just take NMN and niacin separately. Beyond that, if I were them, it's just more complication to their concept that NMN is the 'answer', so why bother?

Sounds reasonable.  Out of interest, what was the dosage you were using on your combo pill?  I was thinking to take the following dosage every day:

  • Two sublingual ABN NMN and two 100mg niacin - morning
  • Two sublingual ABN BIO NAD+ and two 100mg niacin - lunch
  • Two sublingual ABN NMN and two 100mg niacin evening

Do you think this dosage sounds reasonable?

It's been a while, I don't exactly remember exactly, maybe it was 100 mg niacin along with some NMN powder? Someone who bought it might know. As to what you're thinking of taking, I'd skip the PM dose. I tried to take NMN for when exercising mostly, not so much just daily. Instead, I take NR daily 250 mgs as a base of NAD+ precursor each morning. Never tried NAD+ powder. Also, all of these things separate from and before any food, it's sublingual after all.

I bought 3 bottles of the plus product and really liked it.  I also enjoy the niacin flush, so that is probably why I liked it so much.

About a year ago, they posted in the fb group that they were reformulating it to use a time release niacin so the people that weren't used to it wouldn't freak out.

A few months later, they said they thought the sublingual NMN was so much better they would stop selling capsules.

I'm not entirely sure, but think the plus version doesn't work in a sublingual form.  Or maybe they just decided to drop it for other reasons, idk.

I find the nmn powder more effective overall.  But if you really want a rush, try the NAD+ powder along with as much niacin as you can handle before exercise.

Oakman - do you have an NR you like to use sublingual?

Yes, nicotinic acid powder was by far the most nasty tasting bulk powder I ever consumed.

No I use regular oral NR, whatever is cheapest and actual Chromadex Niagen.
