Looking to add it to the regimen and was looking for anecdotals and dosing schedules and effects, positive and negative.  Please share, if you have any experience.  Thanks.

By coincidence I found a full unopened bottle Preg today when I was looking through and throwing away my old supplements. Wanted it to give it another try because the bottle was unopened but decided to throw it away eventually since the bottle said expired in 2015

Anyway, I have used it for about 3 years, ranging dosages from 50mg up to 300mg. The main reason I bought it was in the hopes it'll counter negative symptoms of schizophrenia and it did a little actually. Secondly because I was stuck and was unable to gain a gram of muscle for many many years and I suspected my hormones were out of wack because of the use of antipsychotics. While on antipsychotics I only noticed a significant gain in strength and stamina and unfortunately not on mass.

It was going very well with me and I dropped my antipsychotic and still kept using Preg. In the year I was off antipsychotics and on various dosages of Preg I gained 5KG muscle mass. My muscle mass, tone, stamina, strength went "sky-high" (so to speak). I don't know if I can totally give Preg all the credit or it was also a factor that without antipsychotics I have the build to gain muscle-mass but when I look back at video's and photo's from that period I was off antipsychotics I was in such a very good shape, I only remember myself like that before I ever used antipsychotics (teenage years). I might try it soon again since I switched to a partial dopamine agonist (Cariprazine) since two week instead of full antagonists like Zyprexa and Lurasidone.

Good to know, mentally it also increased my mood, motivation concentration and (sex) drive and never noticed any side-effects. Preg is like a "smart-hormone", the body decides in which hormone it turns it in to and the body regulates that you won't get excess of a particular hormone. (At least that is what I had read back in the days while researching Preg).

(Also, years later came micro-Preg on the market, have tried that also but not to the extend I can conclude anything from it.)

Holy smokes. Great experience. Thanks for sharing that. Did you start at 50 and what did you eventually settle on? Was it sublingual or capsulized. Did you take it AM or PM, daily or a few times a week and what brand did you use?

Yes, I stayed quite long on 50mg up to 200mg (that was supposed to be the helpful dosage for schizophrenia). I jacked up the dosage when I started to see results (when I was off antipsychotics), I experimented a lot with dosages between 50 and 400mg but eventually settled at 200/300mg. They were in capsules. I took it PM when waking up, daily. And sorry, it was around 2011-2014, I can't exactly remember what I did in the weekends when off antipsychotics but it was between 50/200 when on it though. Uhm brands.. when I was only on 50/200 I used the more expensive brand from life-extension but for most of the time and because of my low budget I used a couple of cheap brands I do not even remember the name of (it was legal in the Netherlands back then but it eventually got prohibited). Though 2 out of 3 years I ordered it from the US from SmartPowders (own brand), even though cheap, they were effective.

Powders are a better option.  Way more economical and the crazy fillers they use in most capsules do seem to affect absorption somewhat in some folks.  If you're going with capsules, look for ones without any added excipients or fillers.  It makes a difference, especially over time.  I'm going to start with 50mg AMs and go from there.  Will update this posting accordingly. Please update as well if you decide to restart it.

Main use is for fatigue that doesn't show up in standard blood tests in regard to anything they'd usually assign to that symptom like hypothyroid or CFS or EBV.  Don't have the energy to go doc shopping and find endos and go through the merry go round right now.

I've found 50mg pregenelone to help with sleep.  Not really sleep onset so much but the quality.  Every time I've tried, I always wake up refreshed and every decent night of sleep I have is a blessing.  I take Pregenelone, Holy Basil, and Magnesium at night around 9pm, about 4-5x per week.  The nights that I don't take it, I either don't sleep or its very short/interrupted and I wake up feeling horrible in the morning.  It's been the only addition to my night time stack that has been helpful without affecting cognitive function the next day.

The more I read about pregnenolone the more benefits I see.

Bioavailability is an issue so I would go with a transdermal formula. Life-flo makes one.

Dosed 50-150mg in october 2017 - amazing mood since day 3, full of energy, felt amazing mental clarity then it stopped working after 2 weeks. My best experience ever with substance and i have tried probably over 100 nootropics.

I just ordered some Natural Life-Flo transdermal Progesterone cream for men(10mg/day) to compliment their 15mg transdermal Natural pregnenolone and 30mg transdermal DHEA.

from what i have experienced, pregnenolone doesnt work in pill form even in the high dosage ive tried. that is unless its the highly bioavailable but strictly regulated (because pharm business) format called allopregnenolone (check wiki for more info on this).

now, i havent tried it in other form beyond pill but maybe it has better availability in a cream form? what i know DOES work is progesterone in cream form. i think people should go for progesterone instead. its also a very nootropic neurosteroid that is more practical
