My father is 71 years old. In relatively good health besides cholesterol. His cardiologist said he’s not worried nearly as much about his cholesterol as he is that he has gotten shingles three times in the past two months he thinks that’s a sign of his immune system is taking a toll. Aside from the proper diet I recommended the following supplements to him. If anyone thinks anything else could be beneficial I would appreciate the advice. Thank you

Vitamin D3, K2, VitaminA (palmitate) and Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols). 1 per day of each with food.

Hi, this is an interesting stack.

I would add some Lutein 10mg + Zeaxantin 2mg~ for eye health, this builds up in the eye and can last for months, so usually if taken for a month he can be well without it for months. Great for keeping the eyes healthy, prevent cataracts and other problems and also may improve vision. Also Taurine in the evening might be something he would enjoy.

I would also add Cordyceps and Selenium. Sure, not to take all at once, when one of those sups rans out, introduce a new one while he takes a break from the previous.

Thanks. I forgot to add he does use that Lutein eye formula from life extension because he has macular degeneration

I found that Lutein gave me floaters. Then I read a newspaper article in the Daily Mail warning of this. . It is better to take Lutein and associated nutrients in food.
Rather than supplements
It took months to get rid of the floaters
