While Senolytics are a relatively newer area of investigation, Anti-Inflammatories have been around for awhile.

Senolytics are about eliminating senescent cells, while anti-inflammatories are about eliminating the inflammation that comes from cells which are typically senescent.

So I want to ask - how much overlap is there between these two?

Could it be that some or even many anti-inflammatories are also senolytic? After all, it seems to be the senescent cells which produce the inflammation signals. Could it be possible that some or even many anti-inflammatories are quenching inflammation by killing off those cells entirely, rather than just getting their cytokine production to subside?

I don't know if your premise is correct, about inflammation being largely due to senescent cells. But NSAIDs for example are classified as such by their ability to inhibit COX-2, which is demonstrated in vitro as well as in vivo. Triggering cell death would be observed via other chemical markers and wouldn't likely be interpreted as being anti-inflammatory in vitro. I'm not an expert but that's how I see it.
