Protein powder mixed in water how long does it last? Can you do it far previous to when you need it? I want to make protein drinks and them have them when I want them.

not very long at room temperature. common story: people forget their protein shake in the gym bag and next day it smells like shit.

milk and whatever mixtures you can buy pre-mixed at the store are heat-treated and perfectly sealed.

I wouldn't premix protein powder with anything water related for more than a few hours. But I imagine with some refrigeration it might last 24+ hours.
