i believe it was mentioned before but i was going through some of those pages with no luck trying to find what amount of strawberries does one have to consume in order to get a good amount of bioavailable fisetin? i remember being something around a basket or so!? anyway, a friend of mine from a local farm shared with me several baskets of strawberries so im thinking of going for the clinically tested amount without using pills. how many would i have to consume? it wont be a huge problem. i had half a basket the other night. biggest side effect, diarrhea :/

anyway, what to expect to know if fisetin is doing anything if i consume half or full basket for the next week? i have several diseases and health issues, i would assume maybe they would subside perhaps...

37!

And that Salk Institute study (of diabetic mice) from 2011 was so thrilling that a supplement company created a 37-strawberry supplement!

Hey Alexa...

it wont be a huge problem. i had half a basket the other night. biggest side effect, diarrhea :/
anyway, what to expect to know if fisetin is doing anything if i consume half or full basket for the next week? i have several diseases and health issues, i would assume maybe they would subside perhaps...

Well, 37 strawberries administered to diabetic mice also ameliorated their anxiety-related behaviors, said Salk researchers.

“Most mice put in a large area become exploratory,” said Pam Maher, one of the study’s authors. “But anxious mice tend not to move around. Akita mice showed enhanced anxiety behavior, but fisetin feeding restored their locomotion to more normal levels.”

So maybe 37-strawberries might help restore our anxiety-disturbed locomotion, too?

While we await news, I’m imagining you in a bright meadow, you’re down in the grass, next to a wooden bushel filled with strawberries, and you’re stuffing your face. Your lips are stained, and you my friend are not anxious at all.

The sun is shining, your locomotion is just fine thanks to 37 strawberries, and you ain’t worried about nothing.

also, i would warn people here, do not do what i did and that is eat only strawberries when you go and excercise. i did this mistake, now my arm is swollen and the doc said i have some kind of muscle damage which constricts my blood vessels and compresses my nerves. yikes! i keep thinking maybe i had to have a high protein meal before doing anything harsh. but guess what, now its a very good situation for me to test the power of strawberries for this problem and see if taking high doses of them will lower my muscle damage, inflammation, general pain. we shall see!

How strange, something completely iniquitous causing terrible damage to Normalizing/GABAergic. First of all, it is pretty stupid to eat 100 strawberries in one sitting, of course that you had diarrhea, you don't even know how is that the different compounds in the fruit interact, and you are taking considerable amounts of sugar, given than the average strawberry weights between 12 an 16 grams, you are eating at least 1.2kg of berries; so 60 or 70 grams of sugar in one sitting, like drinking 700ml of coke. Any possible benefit from fisetin is probably negated by diarrhea and sugar. You remind me to this people who have died from eating several kilos of spinach or dark chocolate due to oxalate poisoning. I always wonder: who in hell is capable to do such a thing? Well, now I know.

Well said! Thank you, William...this thread has become somewhat weird but you made me chuckle! Wisdom seems to be such a rare commodity these days! The sugar/carb load of strawberries is roughly .75g/berry! Metabolic syndrome is epidemic for a reason...

do you have a link to anyone dying from overdose on spinach and/or dark chocolate or are you talking out of your ass as usual?
i know personally i overdosed on dark chocolate few times in the past and i thought i was going to die. but thats because it contains theobrimine and lots of caffeine and it caused me to feel like im having a heart attack.

In Spanish there is a saying: Cuando el sabio señala la luna, el necio mira el dedo.

You get caught up in meaningless details, when the point is that you are always poisoning yourself by acting as a complete moron, is there anything that you don't use to harm yourself? You just confessed that you felt that you were going to die from eating too much chocolate, half of your posts are about you feeling bad and paranoid for taking this and that, and you use this to spread as much fear and missinformation about every compound as you possibly can. Still, no matter how much you fear everything, you keep making stupid things like eating more than a kilo of strawberries in one sitting, just for then to crazily correlate this with muscle damage and nerve pain, which would be laughable coming from another user without your record, given that your old account was more of the same.

Dude, get out of this community before you really fuck yourself up, you are not capable of being responsible enough, and you are going to end up messing yourself up pretty badly. Also, you are not valuable for anyone here, all your content is pure crap against whatever compound you personally fear or dislike, cherry picking data to make people scare and reinforce your own anxiety towards anything.

I came here because it was the place with the smartests and more resourceful individuals, up to the point that I was afraid of commenting, and I refrained to do so a lot, just because how much of an idiot I am by comparison; lately, however, all kind of stupid users are allow to intoxicate with their nonsense, and the great minds are more and more absent, logically.

Also, no, don't eat a fucking kilo of spinach or black chocolate in one sitting, something that no one in his right mind will ever do, because you may die.

The ingestion of 4–5 g of oxalate is the minimum dose capable of causing death in an adult.

Within 2–4 h after ingestion of 600 g of both rhubarb and spinach by normal individuals, urinary oxalate was observed to exceed the normal concentration (0.3 mmol) and crystalluria occurred.73

spinach (364.44-1145 mg/100 g)

A diet with a preponderance of foods containing substantial oxalate has long been known to be dangerous, and sometimes deadly8. Oxalate in foods, including rhubarb9–12, star fruit13–15, and sorrel16 has been cited as the proximal cause of human deaths many times.

Despite several recent medical case reports that faulted the consumption of peanuts8,142,143, green juices8 and smoothies144, tea145, nuts and nut butter146, cashews147, and a weight loss diet consisting of spinach, kale, berries, and nuts148 for kidney failure in patients, oxalates remain obscure compounds of no special concern in modern health care.

For reference, a half cup of cooked spinach contains several hundred milligrams of oxalate (330 – 520 mg)82,90,94.

I am really sorry for the off-topic, if I should be punished by the mods, I get it. If you downvote me, I also get it. I am trying to do what I feel that is right, however. And I don't think that anyone in this thread should take 100 strawberries to get their fisetin.

btw whats your reason for not eating as many strawberries as one can? i dont see anything showing toxicity even in mega doses unlike the spaniach and chocolate you put reference to. i don encourage people to eat as many as i did, but i didnt get any problems except mild diarrhea which is actually not bad since i need to shit more often than i do.

but to be clear, im not blaming strawberries for my damage from exercise. i think i should have had a high protein meal before the excercise and lots of fluids afterwards which i didnt. i didnt on purpose consume so many strawberries as to seek some kind of benefit, except of course trying to get as much fisetin as possible, but not any other expectations. i just had so many collected that were organic directly from the farm and tasted so good, i couldnt stop eating them! guilty, im a sucker for good quality produce :(

anyway, i just came out of the hospital and was diagnosed with compartment syndrome. huge amount of creatine released into my kidneys and i needed medical supervision for it to go away. interestingly, i didnt even lift weighs for too long or that hard. not sure why this happened. could it be due to lack of protein in my diet and the vegetarian lifestyle i lead? perhaps. the doctor told me no more exercise though. now i have to look for alternative lifestyle where i cannot excercise like normal people :( maybe going back to getting resveratrol, fisetin and other exercise mimics is the best way but i preffer natural sources, not supplements.

William B Shol, im still waiting for you to show me where eating 100 strawberies a day is bad for you comparison to eating meat, cheese or any other crap most people eat all day and even night long. show me one study that compares this or not needing compare ,but does show eating alone 100 strawberries for a whole day diet is bad for you.
