Here is a list of all the supplements I take:

MSM
Magnesium Citrate
Calcium D-Glucarate
Melatonin
Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Milk Thistle
Niacinamide
Caprylic Acid
Indole-3-Carbinol
Glucosamine
Brewers Yeast
Olive Leaf Extract
Zinc

This is quite costly for me to maintain. And I also have a feeling that a few of these duplicate their health benefits—not sure which ones, though.

So can anyone give me advice on which ones I should remove from the list? Melatonin is essential to me, though, as it helps me sleep.

Couple of solutions might work. First - the red items (of similar) might easily be found in a low dose natural vitamin. The cost would be minimal.

Alternatively, get outside a short time, no need for vit D, eat some fruit or anything with vit C. Salads will likely give you all the calcium, zinc, and more. Make these part of your routine.

Lastly, you could buy many of these in bulk and make your own powder or capsuled multi-supplement to save.

Overall, I see nothing unusual about these at all, in fact, it's quite a minimal bunch of supplements, depending on your lifestyle and diet.

Thanks for your input.

The problem is I like fairly substantial dosages of the ones you marked in red. The dosages I take are:

Magnesium Citrate 225 mg
Calcium D-Glucarate 500 mg
Vitamin D 1000 mg
Vitamin C 1000 mg
Niacinamide 1000 mg
Zinc 15 mg

Dosages lower than that would, I feel, be a false economy.

I read somewhere that Olive Leaf Extract had a high amount of Vitamin C so maybe I could stop taking the Vitamin C—but then again Vitamin C has benefits that Olive Leaf Extract doesn’t have.

All of these supplements at the dosages I take are important, not only for their anti-aging actions but for their anti-cancer and other health benefits. The problem for me is knowing which ones do similar things (more or less) in order to remove the "replicators" from the list.

This is a problem because, as the example of the Vitamin C and Olive Leaf Extract shows, there probably aren’t any vitamins on the list that replicate to an important extent.

Maybe I should explain, in order to focus things better, that I am looking for the supplements in this list that replicate specifically anti-aging and longevity effects. If I can find one or two supplements in the list that specifically relate to anti-aging, then I can jettison the others.

I've just been reading on this forum how Indole-3-Carbinol is said to cause hair loss in some men: with the emphasis on "said to".

I've noticed a bit of hair thinning in the past two years, since I've been taking it. Might just be a coincidence, though.
