it seems almost as important as vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) but unlike vitamin D3 you can't get it from the sun only from plant foods so not meat either etc.

Vitamin D2 is a plant substance that enters the human body exclusively through plant foods.

Has anyone experience with Vitamin D2? I don't see much talk about this.

is vitamin d2 essential? I don't think it is right but it has many benefits.

I eat mushrooms daily, I believe that they are commonly rich in D2.

Yes but mushrooms unlike plants can grow without sunlight, it need sun to somehow convert the light to vitamin D2 so depending where you get your mushrooms maybe it has been grown without light?

Even some plants can grow without sunlight as I find out.
