Then I was going to post this somewhere else but this seemed like the best forum.

I cut my arm like a month ago, not even serious, and it still hasn't healed.  It's just a weird purple place on my arm.

I had a mole removed from my side and it turned into purple spot for 9 months before healing.  Currently looks regular.

I have some scratches on my ankle that haven't gone away in weeks.

I have some slices on my shin from a mistake, I lost my footing on a bus and my leg hit the pole in front of me, didn't even bleed, just like a little cut, and it hasn't gone away in years, I presumed shins have little blood flow so this might be slow.

During the time I cut my arm I was using a huge dose of Wobenzym 3 pills 3 times a day which is described to improve healing time.

I don't recall things taking this long to heal when I was young.  Does this suggest dietary insufficiency of something?

All of what you report does not sound normal. in my experience I'm not any expert or doctor, but I've had plenty of minor and not so minor injuries in my life and none have developed as you describe. Perhaps get some blood tests to see what you are lacking so as to heal correctly? Or see a doctor if you have not yet done so. Your body is amazing and should heal itself remarkable well in due time, but nothing like the timeframes you mention.

Could be a zinc deficiency. Even a mild deficiency will cause these issues.

You are correct but it sounds like the up is complaining about getting old. That's why bBpc157and ghrp2 is a godsend. The op says (s)he is not young.

Go buy those peptides and learn to use them correctly. You want regret it! Bpc157 ought to cost $1000 a mg for how good it is. It single handedly relieved a painful heelspur to where I haven't had pain in at least 3 years and done wonders for my shoulders.

Do you know if it helps with acne related skin abnormalities?

I checked the thread to see if anyone else had weird acne on their legs. I used to think it was just bruising that didn't heal, but realize now it's acne/whiteheads that come and go rather quickly but return and it never really heals 100%. I'm 28, haven't had facial acne in years. I also mention this because it wasn't at all obvious it was acne because the white part disappears so quickly (like 1 day) they dry out then it's just blue/red (and sometimes slightly elevated). I got one of these a very long time ago and I thought I hit my leg but it probably was acne back then as well.

Get checked for diabetes if you haven't been recently.

If I were the OP I wouldn't focus on remedies right now, I'd focus on getting to the bottom of what's going on.

Agreed.

I cut my hand the other day, accidentally got poked with a fork (long story).  It seems to be healing normally.  I have a mystery cut on the back of my hand that displayed yesterday.  Must monitor its progress.

Maybe the one on my arm was deeper than I thought and took longer to heal?  The ones on my legs are weird.

Curious about the zinc.  Whenever I take zinc supplements I get tendonitis, so I figured my zinc levels were too high (chelates copper).  I eat beans regularly, I know beans are high in zinc, figured I was getting enough.

I eat a LOT of rice.  Does rice remove anything?  Probably 1/2 pound a day uncooked (a 2lb bag lasts me 4-5 days).

The ones on my legs aren't really cuts, they look like bites.  I can post an image?  They finally look like they're healing but it's been like months.

Be careful eating that much rice given many sources of rice are contaminated with arsenic.

Good that the new wound is healing better.

Reason I say get it looked into is that slow wound healing can be a sign of a more serious underlying condition.  Diabetes being the one that will pop into most doctor's head (and eating a 1/2 lbs of rice and the carbs associated with that wouldn't be a move in the right direction - that's 182 g of carbs).  Also some cancers will manifest as slow wound healing as an early symptom.  I don't want to fear monger but you'd hate to spend months juggling supplements only to find out you've got type 2 diabetes.

You should be able to post images.  I think you have to go into the advanced post menu to do so.

Sometimes it is just the nature of the cut.  I hit myself on the foot with a rubber mat last winter.  It wasn't a painful incident, it didn't bleed long, but it must have gotten the skin deeply because it lingered for a long time.

I'm sure my choice not to use bandages, that it was on my foot, frequently got wet didn't help.  But eventually it healed with a scar, even if it took a LOT longer than some other cuts I had (in the kitchen for example, that bled worse).

Lots of rice but little (non-fruit) sugar.  I don't drink pop.  Or alcohol.  I barely have desserts, no pie or cookies or whatever.  Lots of fat.  Olive oil or butter on everything.  Rice and beans and OLIVE OIL

Consider kale, sweet potato and green onion dishes.  Sounds like you're getting a lot of legumes, fruits and healthy fats so that's good

Like I said, it may come down to the peculiarities of the impact or cut.  Some parts of the skin are a lot thinner than others, and unless it becomes a repeating pattern shouldn't be cause for concern.

Like kale, carrots, brocolli put them in my rice when I make it.  Do I eat them raw instead?  Yams are good, totally didn't recall those.  Appreciate it.

no you can cook them.

as always, if you feel it's infected or has some sign of cancer or something slowing down the heal please see a doctor about it.  But if it's just a nice cut in an odd location that's healing (albeit a bit slow), I wouldn't worry.  At all.
