it seems like you have high glutamate
https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC4425334/
Here is how to lower it:
Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase (Gad) - When our Glutamate is too high, GAD is needed to convert Glutamate into Gaba. Some have a deficiency in this enzyme either through Antibodies being created against it. or deficiency in the diet, like not getting enough B6, Taurine and other nutrients.
GABA-Transaminase Enzyme- Some people with G/G imbalance have no problem creating the Gaba, they just have a problem holding onto it, GABA transaminase enzyme, similar to GAD but in reverse, converts Gaba back into Glutamate if you have "overactive" GABA-Transaminase Enzymes this can cause G/G imbalance.
Upregulated Glutamate / Downregulated Gaba Receptors - Unlike the above conditions Downregulated Gaba receptors and Upregulated Glutamate ones are usually (not always) induced by alcohol or drugs. For example, If you abuse alcohol for a protracted period of time, you will induce a downregulated GabaA site and upregulate Glutamate, this is what causes grand mal seizures in alcoholics.
Before I show some treatments, please note, most Gaba drugs/supplements can be abused, if you do abuse them you can screw up your Gaba production even further create a dependency/addiction and make fixing your Gaba receptors very hard.
Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase Supplements
Vitamin B6 or (P5P) - Adequate B6 is essential to produce enough of this enzyme.
Taurine - Another supplement required for the correct function of GAD
GAD Antibody Treatment - If your immune system is stopping GAD production, Immunosuppressants are typically used. This is not something you want to self treat if you suspect this is your issue, you should 100% have this checked out at your Doctors and use prescribed treatment only.
GABA-Transaminase Enzyme Inhibitor
Lemon Balm Extract or Rosemary Extract - The active ingredient in these 2 herbs is Rosmarinic acid which is proven to slow the rate Gaba is converted back into Glutamate
Glutamate DownRegulators
Agmatine - Modified Amino Acid potent at downregulating both Glutamate and Opiode sites.
Magnesium - Electrotyle important in hydration and also potent Glutamate down regulator.
Memantine - Agmatine's Pharmaceutical cousin Glutamate downregulation
