Have you any experience with TRT as a nootropic and for well being in general? Also if you don't strictly need Testosterone.

I'm 26 old, and below may blood work (24 Aug 2020).

FSH (SNM) 11.6 mIU/ml | m1.5 - 12.4
17 Beta Estradiol (RDI) 34.7 pg / ml | 11.3 - 43.2
LH (RDI) 6.9 mIU/ml | 1.7 - 8.6
Testosterone (RDI) 5,930 ng/ml | 2.490 - 8.360
Free Testosterone (RDI) 32.6 pg/ml | 19.8 - 51.7
Cortisol (RDI) 17.99 (morning)
Prolactin (NMS) 10.03 ng/ml | 4.04 - 15.20

Dihydrosterone (DHT) (PIG) 607 pg/ml | 250 - 990
Total PSA (NMS) 1,370 ng/mL | <1,400

TSH (SNM) 2,160 μUI/ml | 0.270 - 4.200
FT3 (SNM) 2.94 pg/ml | 2.00 - 4.40
FT4 (SNM) 12.3 pg/ml | 9.3 - 17.0

Hemoglobin 17.1 g/dl | 13.0 - 17.5
Hematocrit 51% | 37 - 54
Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) ↓ 6.0 fl | 7.1 - 10.5
Leukocytes 5.6 G/l | 4.8 - 10.8
Erythrocytes ↑ 5.6 T/l | 4.2 - 5.6

In my opinion 590 ml/dL, at 26, can be considered low testosterone.

My idea is to start at
- Test E. 150 mg/w, max 200 mg/w
- hCG 250 UI EOD

Although I am considered smart, I never felt like I am at my full mental potential. Moreover, some of my symptoms are:
- I almost always had ED, which I self-medicated successfully with Sildenafil (Viagra).
- Most of the time, I have low libido compared to those of my coetaneous.
- I have always been pessimistic, often suicidal, and with low energy and low drive.
- I have low self-confidence that I'm able to hide only in situations where I'm rationally able to "dominate" the problem.
- I have only a little beard and very little hair on the torso.

Thank you!

I suffer from the same things, and a lot of other things too (CFS ME etc).

People here will tell you that TRT is for life, which it is if you do it long enough, you’ll downregulate your natural production. How long that would take I don’t know.

I did a few cycles this year and fully recovered, and I would suggest you give it a try, after you’ve tried all natural methods to boost T though.

Unfortunately you’re not going to get the effects you think you’ll get. It doesn’t make you more confident, or ripped, or anything. I got my levels up to 1700 on cycle and pretty much felt worse. A bit bloated, grumpy, sad.

Investigate other avenues before trying this, that said a cycle or two won’t do you any lasting harm.

Did you have your blood checked before starting? How was your level?

I'm not scared to not fully recover. I'm worried about having no benefit, but at the same time adding the pain of recovering and so at the end to feel even worse than today (maybe with a proper PCT this could be a minimum problem).

Anyway, I suspect that my natural T level is not low enough to feel all the benefits of injecting T, and so was for you. Moreover, I guess T alone is not enough in our cases, and we maybe need to manage E2 and other stuff (like the need for hCG). A lot of people do well with T only; some others are less fortunate.
But also if a TRT adequately managed can make us feel better, would it worth the commitment considering a young age? I cannot imagine how to hide the need for injecting regularly (I mean T once a week and hCG EOD) without a prescription... I think that when you said you felt "grumpy, sad" was in part due to this.
I have tried every kind of supplement and a lot of med off label, but inject regularly is a lot different (btw, I have everything to start if I want to).

If we also exclude T, in my experience, nothing is remaining. The only thing that works is sildenafil to limit ED (but at the disadvantage of having a headache every time during sex). Do we have to accept that we are mediocre persons, even if we are intelligent enough to suffer for that?

Don’t get me started, I’ve contemplated suicide at times, I’m a highly intelligent person who is miserable in every other respect, ED being one of them. I got into 5 Ivies and 7 of the top 10, had perfect SAT GMAT and GRE, and I suffer from chronic fatigue, disorganized thinking, 0 libido, anhedonia.

This is a brutal combination that makes life not worth living. The thought that no matter what you do nothing will ever feel good, even though you could do it.

Anyway, to get back to TRT:

It doesn’t really solve ED. Actually, it worsened my mood, made me angry, irritable, and turned off. So, I could hold an erection better, but I wanted sex less-I just wanted to rage at people. On top of that, as you noted, there is a lot of management to do with regards to E2 and such.

Your levels also aren’t hypgonadal. You obviously have functioning parts, with some lifestyle changes you could probably get to 700-800 or so, and then you’d be high-normal. So I’m not sure what you think this will do for you.

Thanks for you experience about TRT.

Because I don't know what else to try in order to avoid spending a miserable and deeply unhappy life. As you, I'm considered a highly intelligent person (I'm a TLC engineer who graduated before time, and I work for an important company). I've contemplated suicide too (countless times); unfortunately, we are not programmed to do that (moreover, I do not want to that to my mother).
Maybe, the truth is that for some days I wanted to deceive myself TRT was the solution.
