I'm autistic and as I grew up near a motorway, I wonder if air pollution could be one of the environmental things that make an autistic child more likely? I'm the only diagnosed autistic person in my family to the best of my knowledge but others definitely have traits of it, even if they do not fit the diagnostic criteria in its entirety and other than certain traits are neurotypical.
