Hello everyone. I am a 29 year old male who has practiced on an off intermittent fasting with about 0 extended water fasts over the last, well, 5 years. I did this with the goal of slowing the internal and external aging process through the mechanisms of inducing autophagy and NAD boosting through said different types of fasting. Well, now I am getting a bit older.

I turned 29 two months ago. I now want to ante up my approach to adding some supplements that also can help with slowing the aging process. However, I o not know where to begin at all to be honest. I constantly have people think I am roiughly 20-24 so maybe it is just my genetics of maybe it is working, I doo not know (I also use sunscreen daily). . . but it is not just external aging, I want to slow it down internally too. Just overall I want to slow it down

I read about spermidine, apigenin, metformin, resveratrol, c60, quercetin plus dastinib, fisetin, astaxanthin (for the FOXO gene or something), avoiding overeating and methionine, high dose vitamin c, NR, NMN, Niacin. I just do NOT know where to begin. Which things out of these should i begin taking now for slowing the aging process even though i do fasting and methionine restriction already for slowing aging?

Most of the things you mention are not 100% proven, of course.

At your age you should tread lightly, not mega-dosing on anything. You have time to observe what works and what doesn't.

Vitamin C intake is best spread out through the day, not taken all at once, according to a few bio-hackers I have spoken with.

You can try random things and not know if they are doing anything at all, so before you start, I suggest you get an epigenetic age test. There are at least three companies out there -- TrueMe, EpiAging and Epimorphy, in order of increasing cost.

An other approach to get bearings would be to get as many as possible rudimentary lab-tests your insurance covers (CBC, liver and kidney enzyms, lipid and glucose metabolism, electrolytes..). And pay for a few important probably not covered by insurance out of pocket. Like 25(OH9)D3, methylmalonic acid,..

That way you find particular weaknesses in your metabolism, counter them more specific, and are able to monitor progress in those specific areas more reasonably priced for a long time. As well of becoming alert to anything needing attention before progressin to something serious.
