Resveratrol, salicylate, metformin, blueberries, olives, ginger... the list goes on and on. I'm having a hard time finding a study that does a decent job comparing how effective all these polyphenols are at raising AMPK at equivalent concentrations. Resveratrol and metformin are the most well known AMPK activators, but they are seemingly underperforming compared to others.
Also, it would be great to learn more about how a polyphenol/AMPK activators affect different SIRT genes. It seems like not all of them have wide SIRT activities and only select for one like SIRT1 or SIRT3.
