According to someone on the ChromaDex yahoo board, one speaker in todays NIH NAD+ conference said all NMN supplements are contaminated with lps.

It looks like some NMN supplements are not even contaminated with NMN.

It is not just NMN. A lot of food products and supplements are somewhat fraudulent. I go with suppliers who don't trust the manufacturers and routinely conduct their own tests to make sure about potency and purity.

Care to enlighten us with those whom you trust?

Arrrgg. I hate to mention retailers, specific commercial products, etc, because then this thread should be moved to the Retailer/Product Discussion forum....but then again, I did entice such a discussion.

I trust "Terry Naturally" products. I have met the founder and many of their scientists/advisors within the company. The founder personally travelled to India to inspect the farms where they source their turmeric

I trust LEF because once again I have met the founder and many others within the company and they have a decades-long reputation of quality products.

I trust Revgenetics, because I have known and conversed with the founder throughout the last 15 years. He once told me that he saved himself a lot of headaches and financial woes by doing his own tests on purity and potency, finding that there were fraudulent or low quality substances being delivered to his company at times.

Thank you Mind for posting this here. I think Longecity readers and members who do not go to the vendors forums should be kept aware of the fact that Longecity does not check the credibility of companies that advertize on its pages., except perhaps for 'third party tested' which in the end does not mean much.

What is "lps"?

I suspect that "lps" means "lipopolysaccharides".

Sigma-Aldrich has a site that says "Lipopolysaccharides are heat-stable endotoxins and have long been recognized as a key factor in septic shock (septicemia) in humans1,7 and, more generally, in inducing a strong immune response in normal mammalian cells."
