Peter is one of those rare pioneers who envisions something new and difficult and who gets it done. I met Peter a decade ago when he came to visit Alcor to learn the practical realities of cryonics. His timing was impeccable. During his short visit he got to see the rare event of a dewar being delivered and unloaded and a live case happen. He went on to be the prime mover in creating Southern Cryonics and related organizations. He serves as founder, director, and chairman.

In this interview, Peter tells us about his background and very early interest in cryonics, the area covered by Southern Cryonics and the challenges of distance, the structure of the organization and how it relates to CryoPath (SST) and CryoTime (trusts), Australia’s legal rules limiting trusts and the challenges of funding by life insurance, and Southern’s first patient.

Good to have diversity in the industry, in several countries.
