Was the documentary maker right though that your quest is a "love story afterall"?

As key as Aubrey has been to this advancement, I don't think love has anything to do with it. I mean, maybe behind the scenes it does for Aubrey, but if Aubrey were to stop his studies tomorrow for whatever reason, it's reasonable to expect that it wouldn't be too long before someone else stepped out of the shadows and took the reigns. This person could be anyone, even a bachelor(ette) with no emotional obligations might have the same conviction that Aubrey has. I see why they suggested 'it might be a love story', it is television after all, but to suggest that Aubrey is tearing through this in the name of love (although I can't speak for him), seems a little naive to me. There's much, much more at stake than love here (I'm starting to develop my own reasons as to why the stakes are high, I might even enter into the video contest with my reasons).

I'm a bachelor, have been for a couple of years now, and admittingly as much as I enjoy single life, it has no bearing on my enthusiasm to help end aging, it's more of personal drive I have with no ulterior motives (basic principle: Me, myself, and I want to continue to exist without an imposed time frame for existence). Until I meet someone that I fall in love with (which has never happened for me before, and which I also am not depending on, so it's a neutral topic for me), maybe my interest and focus towards this topic will become more intense with the mindset of having a loving relationship. At the end of the day, I could probably name off a good 50 reasons why the stakes are high, none of them having to do with emotion, love, or the obligation to do it for someone I know.

Does anyone have any idea how many people that may have watched this movie?Will more documentaries about Aubrey De Grey get produced in the next few years? He has been featured in swedish television a couple of times during the last years but I still think that almost noone where I live know who he is..........
