1 year and 10 Months of Res supplementation started with 400 went up to as high as 4 grams (reduced to 500 mg for a few months while taking some other stuff), now at 1.5 grams mixed with HPMC and Whey Protein (finally came around to believing in Whey as a carrier). BP and Pulse down a lot, were good to start with and now very very low like CR low. Weight about the same but body fat decreased and muscle increased. HDL up, LDL down (good to start with now very good). Aerobic capacity increased, stregnth increased, energy increased....... Oh by the way increased supplement budget by about $100 a month, experimented with different diets/regimens, settled on very low carb paleo. Revamped exercise routine etc etc etc...... The problem with many people on here too many variables :) to really judge long term effects of one thing :(

Too many variables. That is my concern as well. It would be nice to see several posts that come from people ages 50-90 that have taken resveratrol "only" for at least six months. No vitamin, mineral, or special "health food type" supplements, no other "miracle" claiming drugs or other drugs (except of course if they are needing a normal type prescription that they take everyday). As far as exercise goes, I would say that these people would range from no additional work out program to something limited to a light 3-times a week program. The idea behind this is ,of course, to have exercise not influence the results of the resveratrol. No 25 mile marathons, heavy cycling, intense weight training, etc...

An additional thought I need to address is that: Just how good would "quality of life" be if life was extended for people only because of inside the body functions, but yet their exterior body was full of wrinkles and signs of old age? One example would be, if a man in his 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, or 90's had the sex drive and stamina of a man in his 20's, but how many "younger attractive" women would want to have sex with him if he looks like a man in his 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, or 90's? In other words, what can we do about the extended life of our exterior body to go along with our inner body?

Any thoughts on this?

Joe

Joe, many people find fulfillment in life at other levels than that measured in wrinkles and involvement with attractive young women. You need to cultivate more depth of character and understanding of people.
