do people have thoughts about the wide range of not yet tested on animals UV filtering chemicals; you could use the MSDS to narrow the range

Why would you expose yourself to such risk? There are plenty of sunscreens with non-FDA approved ingredients that have been at least tested on animals and humans. Even if the stuff you have is relatively safe, I would be worried about contaminations. Since it's not meant for topical use.
