It was made when Calment was over 120.As one can see she was extremely mentally sharp at that age despite being frail physically.
She was in very good health until 115 when she broke her hip in a staircase visiting a friend. She moved to her nursing home aged 110 mainly because of cataracts(she declined the offer of cataract surgery) having lived completely independently until then and bicycling around in the town well over 100. They talk a lot about her genetics(she had many relatives reaching 80 and 90 but no extremely old) as well as her stress-free personality and unusual lifestyle never having to work or do much household work and instead doing activities like swimming, roller-skating and playing tennis.

Quite extraordinary longevity. She apaprently had many famous quotes as well like on her last birthday she said -122,can anyone beat that?

It is a pity that no precise cause of death is known however....
