Hi,

Finally I have finished my project of creating a Swedish Forum aimed at making the Swedish population more aware of Life Extension.
You're more than welcome to register and we'll see how many persons with the same interest we could gather. After it's been around for awhile it's my intention to gather the most active users who're interested in forming a organisation similar to the ImmInst and to really start to make a difference in Sweden in terms of Life Extension.

I think that by extending Life Extension movements across the globe it would really open the eyes of the worlds general populace to Life Extension. I therefore encourage all members from different parts of the world to create forums aimed at your countrymen. Let us follow in the footsteps laid out by the Immortality Institute and together we will make a difference!

The forum url is: www.immortal.se

Sincerely,
Jonas

Thanks Shonghow, I really appreciate it.

Don't hesitate to let me know your thoughts about the forum, I would like the forum to be a really transparent place where the members decide upon it's features.

Yes, let's now hope for more people to follow your good example and registering!

Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Jonas

I'll probably register as soon as I get an internet connection for my computer (I'm using my cell phone at the moment). It's a really good initiative. I foresee a possible obstacle, though. I don't know how people react to the word "immortality" in Sweden, but here at ImmInst, some members have had people they've spoken to reject the idea of life extension at the mention of the name "Immortality Institute". Check out the recent discussion about the name change for more details about that.

Johan, thanks for your compliments on the initiative.
I did actually read the name discussion thread prior to coming up with a name for the forum. You're right that there could be some people who somehow would feel distant to the name Immortal, but as mentioned in the thread such a name could also draw attention to itself due to it's controversial nature. I think at the initial stages the most important thing is to get the forum noticed and a slightly controversial name could draw people to the forum out of curiosity, then later when it comes to forming a organisation involved in Life Extension, a less controversial name could be used.

It would be very nice if you would register on the forum as soon as you would have an internet connection for your computer, I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,
Jonas

People will find the words very provocative and could scare off people. Using the term "Odödlighet" is fiction, and it is also nothing the life extension community proclaims about getting immortal. No one can get immortal, even if radical life extension exists.
