HDL is up and LDL down which is the reason I have been taking it. I do not tolerate statins - get paresthesia symptoms.

I have been taking nicotinic acid 500 mg twice daily for the last two years. Flushing yes - but no other side effects as far as I know.

Are you treating an autoimmune disorder?

I am using it to treat elevated cholesterol, instead of using statins.
I do have psoriasis and asthma/allergy, but it has not helped against these disorders.
My asthma did improve though, after I started resveratrol and curcumin.
