For some reason modafinil is schedule IV, in the same class with benzodiazepines, which is really strange because it has no potential for abuse or addiction. That is probably what is scaring your doctors though.

Do you ask for COA's for the generic prescriptions you get at your pharmacy? Because many of them come from India, and if you do your research you will find that major Indian pharmaceutical companies have FDA approved generics available in the U.S. market. The prescriptions you will receive from India come in individually sealed foil packs with labeling information applied by the manufacturer. Is that more or less confidence inspiring than the plastic bottle full of random generic pills that you trust a 17 year old high school kid to accurately dispense for you?

This knee-jerk distrust of Indian pharmaceuticals irks me every time. Some combination of FDA propaganda and a false belief in the superiority of all things "United States" must be responsible.

This thread should probably be moved to the suppliers and research subsection. How about airsealed? Modalert for $19+S/H on sale? Anyone used these guys?

Yeah, I'm curious about Airsealed also. If anyone has ordered from them, I'd love to hear some opinions.

I bought both Deprenyl and Modafinil from Airlsealed and have only good things to say about the products and delivery.

How long did it take to ship? Is the tablet form of Deprenyl as good as the liquid form?

I only took it in tablet form but I hear liquid is better.

Thanks for clearing-up the classification of modafinil. It explains a lot - while being completely irrational. But then, we live in a country that also sees fit to prohibit stevia in food...
I don't distrust Indian pharmaceuticals; I distrust anything that I am not particularly well-informed about, which is perfectly natural and, it should be noted, distinct from mistrust.
If any user on the board with your "Navigator" tag (or "higher") came out and endorsed a website, either in a post or a PM, I'd feel completely confident ordering from that website, because I trust in your expertise.

Funny you mentioned that...there was a guy here named LifeMirage. I don't know the whole story because it happened before I came here and it seems not too many people do, but it might have been a conflict of interest situation. The navigators here will direct your inquiry to the suppliers sub-forum.

Have any Aussies here had any problems when asking docs for a Modafinil prescription?

I can now reply to this post after having been to my doctor yesterday to find out.

Yes, I did have a problem getting a prescription. The dr. looked up the med. in his book to see its potential side effects. The list was pretty ghastly so he was unwilling to prescribe it and suggested I have some strong tea instead.

I had a doc refuse to prescribe it for off-label use because, he said, if something happened, I could sue him. Your doc's real motivation might not be your health.
