I am working on a show to profile a new life extension initiative by a group of European Imminst members. More details to come.

Throughout its history, the Immortality Institute has been a wellspring of grassroots longevity efforts. Whether it has been through media (book, film, conferences), through research (monetary and physical support), or through the development of new organizations and web presence, Imminst members have always been quite active. In this proud tradition a handful of Imminst European members are in the process of creating a new organization to raise the visibility of life extension in France and Belgium in particular.

I will be interviewing Imminst member DidierC about the latest effort. Other members such as S123, and JediaMasterLucia are also involved. Find out what to expect from this latest effort by tuning into the Sunday Evening Update, this Sunday December 14th, at 5pm CST, 23:00 GMT.

Since it will be Midnight in Belgium, I will be having the interview with Didier first and then cover some news and updates later.

I hope a lot of people show up, if your going to be there please indicate it here.

I usually help promote this before hand but I dont have time right now. If anybody wants to help promote weekly then indicate your interest and we can team up every week.

Ill bet if I started a "researchers find that supplements are taking away from extended life" topic, and then inside write, "Its because people are paying more attention to supplements than radical action that will help end aging. Get in on the action by attending the sunday evening update." That it would get a lot of views. But I wont, Ide like to, but I wont.

I will probably be listening.

And I think brokenportal's thread suggestion would count as spam.

Thats funny because I get the impression that supplements in a radical life extension forums might be spam.

Starting now, please do stop by everybody.

Didier_C did a wonderful job explaining the planning and motivations for Heales (Healthy Life Extension Society). The future website will be heales.org. It is a small group of life extension advocates in Belgium, Netherlands, and France who would like to see the topic of life extension discussed more in french speaking areas of Europe. They are planning a website (heales.org), meetings, and a newsletter.

I also mentioned AgeVivo's new outreach effort: www.longecity.com

and a new Imminst page highlighting the research that Imminst members are involved in: www.imminst.org/research

Direct link to the recorded program at Ustream (and yes, I am aware of the pre-caching problem at Ustream, I have uploaded most of the old programs to the Imminst server so hopefully we will get rid of the problem soon by hosting them ourselves).
