I just donated to the Methuselah Foundation for the third time.

This post is simply a reminder to all of you out there who want to donate but keep pushing it back or forgetting: Do it now. The sooner the money is invested in research, the more it can be leveraged.

Each marginal dollar is worth more now than in a year...

So just do it :)

Good idea. The projects list is also getting set to help get this done. The general way is through exposure in general which will yeild a higher perctage of people to donate and the main way is through a methuselah foundation fund raiser that we are developing that is going to be part (probably) of an imminst drupal page for volunteers. Probably called "easy ways to volunteer" or something like that.

The page is going to list a bunch of simple ways to help like give to the fund raiser, join fah, take Kevins youtube challenge, take Sashs book owners challenge, sign the petitions etc.. Its going to have something like a check off box next to each that will tally some how. Like for example maybe tally a point value for each task to a spot in peoples profiles or maybe on another web page or something. The points will be incentive and even be able to be used to by imminst merchandise or something like that. It is all still in development. If you or anybody wants to join that team then let me know. Thats one of the top five most lucrative ones we are going to be focusing in on.

The projects list is called "leeep" for life extension exposure expedition projects. Its here and that project is on line 30. This is the rough draft list, its being cleaned up and moved to the imminst wiki.

Just to bump up this thread and encourage people to donate: Here's a bunch of short videos of Aubrey de Grey talking about various things. I hadn't seen them before, so I figure maybe others here had missed them too..

The ImmInst forums have 8,094 registered users. Even if a fraction are still active, that's still a lot more than the ±870 donors to the Methuselah foundation.

Even if you donate just $10, do it! The higher total number of donors will encourage others to donate too, and $10 is better than nothing.

Don't just hope for life-extension breakthroughs without doing anything to help!

Don't forget to multiply your donations with 1.5, making 15$ out of your 10$. Thanks to the "Matching Challenge from Peter Thiel for $3,000,000 US"
This Challenge from Peter Thiel beginning on 2006-10-01 with an original amount of $3000000.00 US matches 50% of SENS Donations up to the remainder of $1,756,566.79 until 2009-12-31.

I don't think anyone has brought it up in this forum. However, you can help the Methuselah Foundation by going through its website to purchase items on-line. For more information, visit the MF website and click on "Other Ways to Help." It's #7.

Methuselah Foundation is needing more people to donate so they can use the full matching grant.

I've just donated again to the Methuselah Foundation. Please consider doing so too, even if a small amount. Total number of donors can encourage others to join, and any money will go toward research that isn't funded through the mainstream research channels.
