In case you didn't notice, folding@home is about to cross the 5 petaflop level, the Longevity Meme Team has reached the top 100, there are hints of exciting new medical breakthroughs as a result of folding@home research, and other teams are following the lead of the Immortality Institute and offering prizes to folders.
There has never been a better time to join the team (see here) and keep the momentum going into a new year.
The 4th quarter of the F@H prize runs from January 1st through March 31st. If you were not aware, the prizes have increased dramatically since the beginning of the competition. Here is a list of the current prizes:
1st - $200 + $75 LEF gift certificate
2nd - $125 + $50 LEF gift certificate
3rd - $70 + $25 LEF gift certificate
4th - $40 + $15 LEF gift certificate
5th thru 12th - $15 + $15 LEF gift certificate
13th - $15 (randomly drawn)
6 month LEF membership for all registrants (value ~ $40)
