The imminst page is really slow lately, anybody has the same problem ? If so, any special reason for the decrease in speed ?

Yes, I noticed it too. It was incredibly slow for a while, but it seems to have cleared up. I wonder how much of the slowness is under our control via tuning the forum software/adware, and how much is related to other loads on the server? This recent severe slowness was an anomaly, but the forum performance is frequently not as good as it should be.

I've had problems recently as well, especially when loading profiles.

Directors up for election: what do you plan to do? Personally, if I were elected I would do something to impove the situation.

For the record those who want to throw more crap at Obama may have a case in blaming him for some of yesterday's slowness across the entire internet.

The fact is that the US infrastructure for the internet is another example of ignored, antiquated and dilapidated infrastructure that may be up for renewal under this administration.

Here is an interesting Internet Traffic site that may provide an objective measure for when it is Imminst and when it is systemic.

As for what we can do about it, we have upgraded software, we are developing a webmaster position for oversight we can consider a different server though we have benefited from the present relationship, and we have already accomplished a lot to make it better.

Hehe, I'm sorry, I just found this humorous. "What do you plan to do?" Answer: "I would do something." Well said. :-D

Lightowl looked at server CPU usage and found that was not the problem, only maxing out at 45% on any particular days. Other members have offered ideas on how to fix things, but directors have to approve access to admin/server areas of Imminst....can't just let anyone go in and have access to operation and everyone's data.

I feel your pain. Since I generally spend 2 to 4 hours at the site everyday, I notice the slow loading at times. I have contacted Thor once again to try a few new things to get the site running faster.

I'm perfectly confident I could figure out how to make this website not be so slow if I had the access to do it.
