Who's Who in Hell: A Handbook and International Directory for Humanists, Freethinkers, Naturalists, Rationalists, and Non-Theists

"What kind of reference book would have entries for individuals as disparate as Marie Curie, A. A. Milne, the Marquis de Sade, and Joseph Stalin? This peculiar but entertaining and well-researched and documented tome describes itself as "a kaleidoscope of contentious individuals: poets and philosophers, royalty and revolutionaries, secular saints and reprobates, all sharing one thing in common--a desire to think for themselves rather than to follow time-honored strictures or divine commandments." A lovely book, hefty and informative. Amazingly expensive, but well worth it. It lists many wonderful luminaries, and reminds you that though you may be in the minority for not being religious, you're certainly in good company.

As a bonus, such influential transhumanists as Marvin Minsky, Max More, and FM 2030 are listed very favorably. It's a fun book to read, or even just to flip through. Check it out!
