Don't put mum on ice, kids plead
By Mark Dunn
March 23, 2004
A MELBOURNE family has been split by a decision to cryogenically freeze their mother who died last month.

The woman, 53, died after a battle with cancer and her new husband decided to transport her body to the US to undergo the controversial cryogenics process in the hope she may one day be brought back to life.

But the woman's children strongly disagree with their stepfather's decision to put their mother's body into cryogenic storage and said they had not heard of the plan until after she died.

Gee, this sounds awfully familiar.

"How can you rest in peace when you are dead and they are trying to bring you back to life," the son asked.

That has to be about the most ignorant thing I've ever heard anyone say about cryonics!

Is the son serious? That is one of the most ignorant things I've heard someone say about anything.
