Methylfolate may be a better alternative since folate may be converted to possible toxic metabolites instead of methylfolate. Especially at high doses.

i was reading about that today...it may be a better option but may be cost prohibitive.

Methylfolate has alot of legal baggage attached to it according to the jarrow rep I spoke with; property rights and all that.

100mg of folinic sounds okay. But why 100? Why not 150? Is this just an arbitrary low dose? Anyway, I'm for it not using folic acid, and of course for keeping expenses reasonable. Though if you can get past the legal barricade, you'll probably be able to keep the retail price low with such a low dose, even using methylfolate.

Vote of course, is yes.

i would imagine that the low dose is because a large portion of flour/grains and their associated products are already fortified with folic acid.
