Hello, this is my first post! I was thinking, because the singularity will have such a great impact in human history, we should start to use "AS" for "After the Singularity" in denoting the years after the start of this epoch. So right after around 2045 the calendar should restart again from year 1, so it would be year 1 AS. I know we have some time to go until we reach this point, but it is nice to plan ahead!

Good idea. Im sure as with many of us, having our yearly standard start with the birth of the worlds longest reigning favorite imaginery friend Jeebus never sat right with me at all. For a long time, before the advent of technology, swift travel, tv, internet, and all our other incredible tools of/for creativity and progress, people didnt have much to do. Popular religious stories were like long running tv series in a lot of ways. The new age is here, we are taking yet another step up and its time to change the channel as you ellude to here. Not sure how we would judge the precise day that the singularity would/might hit though.
