Does anybody know what happened to Oxiracetam? None of the regular sources carries it anymore (IAS, Biogenesis labs, etc). It seems to have disappeared in the last few months.

This is really upsetting because I've tried pretty much all of the smart drugs over many years (piracetam, piramiracetam, aniracetam, hydergine, vinpocetine, etc) and I've found that oxiracetam is dramatically more effective for me. Does anybody else have this experience, where one thing works better than the rest?

I heard that GlaxoSmithKline is researching it for Alzheimer's, now in Phase III trials, but I can't get any definitive information on this. I wonder if this means it will be back on the market at some point in the future. I also wonder if this is why whoever was making Neuromet stopped making it. Anybody have any info?

thanks,
tmax

Masters Marketing (in Nootropic sources) appears to still offer it. I've e-mailed them and is waiting for a reply. Also I am currently looking into other sources.

Masters Marketing has 4 boxes left and they said they will not be replenishing stock as there are no alternative suppliers.

I ordered 1 box, so I will post my experience when it arrives.

I'm quite surprised at the dramatic results 'tmax@zebra.net' experienced, because I always thought oxiracetam was similar, if not identical in effects, to piracetam (except that it is more potent).

I wanted to add a followup to my post. Since then I have started taking Piracetam again, at much higher doses than I ever did before. I am now taking 2400 mg 3x day, with liquid choline/pantothenic acid, and I can say that the effects do approach what I got with 800 mg of oxiracetam twice a day (without choline). When I first tried Piracetam a few years ago, I never took more than 2400 mg in a whole day, so I guess it is a potency issue. So while I am glad that I can reproduce similar effects with Piracetam, I would much rather take two pills a day than nine. Hopefully Glaxo will get oxiracetam to market for it's alzheimers indication.

Has anyone found an oxiracetam source yet?

Cheapest I've found it so far is 25 mg for $158.80. :(
