I met Aaron Drake during my recent trip to Alcor and learned a lot of new and interesting things about modern day cryonics. Find out the nitty-gritty of what it takes to get a good cryonic suspension with Alcor's Transport Coordinator. Tune in to the Sunday Evening Update on March 28th at 5:00pm EST (2100 GMT).

You just missed me sending you a PM David--too funny
(you posted as I was composing)-possibly many Cryonics UK members will be able to attend? I'm hoping a few of the Texas Alcor Area Readiness team members will be able to make the talk & live Q&A.
I'm going to try to get as many to join us as possible, for sure.

Aaron will focus on what preparations can be made by cryonicists ahead of time (ahead of de-animation or pronouncement of "legal" death) in order to produce the most positive outcome - a good suspension. He will also talk a bit about the current state-of-the-art in regards to the technical aspects of suspension. Be sure to bring your questions.

As to lunar's question about IVs, if I recall, Aaron mentioned that it is not necessary for every member of the response team to have comprehensive IV knowledge/experience, only the lead member of the team (at this point in time anyway).
You can watch the episode here at Ustream.
