you can select and de-select all manners of notification, including email.
two things to remember:
1) if you wish to receive the ImmInst newsletter make sure that
"Send me any updates sent by the board administrator" is SELECTED
2) emails send to you via this mechanism come from ImmInst, even if they alert you about PMs
they state "PLEASE DO NOT REPLY DIRECTLY TO THIS EMAIL!" quite clearly
