a. Snail mail and/or phone gain points by posting the name of the person they are sending the letter to, the letter they are sending, and a verification when it is sent. The posts must be made in this topic.

With phone the person must post the name of the person they are going to call, post what they are going to say, and then post what the people on the phone said when they are done.

b. Email gains a person points when they do the same as with snail mail.

snailmail/phone
minimum= 1 contact
active=3 contacts
extraordinary=at the discretion of the team leader

email

Draft email to Randall Parker, an economics professor who writes blogs for FuturePundit about the vastness of space and what it means for us.

Hello,

I read a blog that you wrote for the Future Pundit about space. I work at the Immortality Institute - Advocacy & Research for Unlimited Lifespans, and Im writing you because I feel like having that kind of grip on the big picture of what it means to exist can be a major motivator for allowing people to open their minds to the realities and prospects of unlimited lifespans. If unlimited lifespans interests you then please do join in, on the discussions. There is a forum, projects, conferences, teams and all kinds of things of potential interest. A good place to start is in introducing yourself here: http://www.imminst.o...oduce-yourself/

We also invite you to do an interview with us on our small internet show. A sample list of the many people we have had on in the past and the show itself can be found at http://imminst.org/tv .

If you have any questions or comments then feel free to let me know at any time.

Regards,
Eric Schulke

Draft email to Andrew Petto, listed as a speaker for the center for inquiry, anthropology and evolution professor. Did science education research on how teachers are motivated to continue their educations and introduce new ideas.

Hello,

I see you work with the Center for Inquiry. I work with the movement for indefinite life extension through research and outreach organizations like Imminst. I have seen that indefinite life extension is one of the main natural extensions of free thinking people (and other groups, but especially free thinkers).

I also see that you have done research on what motivates science teachers to introduce new ideas. We do a lot of work trying to make that very thing happen. We have conducted many projects and events in that regard, as well as continue to develop a variety of others. If you would oblige us in adding to the conversation then let me know and Ill send you a link.

We also run a small internet show. We invite you to do an interview and give your views on indefinite life extension. If you are interested then let me know and I will forward this on to our host. The show and a list of many of our past guests can be found at imminst.org/tv.

Here is the final draft to Parker. However, I found that I already had him as a friend in facebook so I wrote him there too. Its encouraging to find that it can be a small world amongst indefinite life extensionists.

I also wrote to the Craig Venter Institute requesting his phone number or that he contact me, or that he call me. I used an email form and I didnt save a copy. It was something to the effect of, "I work with the movement for indefinite life extension. We all know that sequencing the genome and synthetic micro-organisms is great historic kind of stuff and it seems to me that indefinite life extension science is right up Craigs Alley. I would love to go over some key concepts if he would oblige me. Im requesting his phone number, or for you to forward this on to him." (with my phone number and email)

Petto wrote back but doesnt seem to want to participate in the discussion I set up to get more of his insight. Maybe with Longecity more instances like this will change.

It was over all a successful month.
