I like taking lots of pepto-bismol whenever I have a stomachache. While I take it infrequently, I often drink half a bottle at once to take care of my stomachache (this is usually less than the maximum they advise for any given day). Some time ago, I read a paper saying that its products dissociate and don't cause any lasting damage (as long as you're not chugging an entire bottle of it every day). Does anyone have any more information?

Are there any risks to Pepto-Bismol?
