i was looking threw the ingredients of the things i already take and noticed some ingredients which i found interesting because a lot of them have been listed on here.

tyrosine 0.6g (i take like a gram a day)
388mg of cocoa extract, green tea extract, l-glutamine, clove poweder, alpha lipoic acid, blueberry powder, grape skin extract, rosemary poweder, s-adenosyl-l-methionine

this blend i noticed had alpha lipoic acid. This is a proprietary antioxidant blend the company has in one of their suppliment pills and can not find out the exact amount of each ingredient. I'm just wondering would this be fine when taken with ALC to counter the effects of free radical build up? I only plan to take 250g taken once or twice daily. These amounts i've read a few times and i have heard overstimulation can occur at 500mg. Everyone takes such large dosages of everything..

also im wondering if any amino acids provide overstimulation in the mind that makes you feel dragy (i feel like my mind can't seem to focus) and im not sure but it might be this protein powerder i am using that has generous amounts of amino acids in it.

That mixture sounds like a total waste of money; there is no proof that any of those dosages of those particular supplements will do squat.

icarusfalling,

1. "would this be fine when taken with ALC to counter the effects of free radical build up?"

It sounds like you are referring to the issue that acetyl carnitine increases free radicals in mitochondria. In which case the answer is no as one needs alpha lipoic acid (or R-ala, or experimental compounds).

2. blueberry powder, grape skin extract, rosemary poweder are antioxidants, however with mixtures like this one wonders if there is enough in it to be helpful.

3. s-adenosyl-l-methionine has various benefits, but again dose is an issue (there is also an issue here related to the form of sam being the optimal one--see recent posts on avant).

4. Tyrosine: I find helpful and doses of e.g. 500 mg twice a day on an empty stomach would be like a minimum.

5. "im wondering if any amino acids provide overstimulation in the mind that makes you feel dragy (i feel like my mind can't seem to focus"

This is a little confusing as overstimulating and dragy I would think mean opposite things but when you mention can't seem to focus, it is possible that you are very sensitive to the tyrosine (as someone else around here is) which apparently can cause this for some people.

there has been studys done in grape skin extract and has been shown to be a good free radical killer.
same benefits you would get from having a daily glass of wine minus the alcohol
