I really really want one sometime.
What's the easiest+cheapest way to get a MRI scan of my brain?

do you have health insurance? just go to your doc, tell them you got a headache, dizzy, fell down. little dizzy last couple days, tell him you want an MRI.
there are different kinds of MRIs though for different issues. like MRA (angiography) for blood artery/vessel analysis (ie. you have an aneurysm). MRI more of a look at the soft tissue of the brain itself. fMRI functional MRI looks at hemodynamic response, used in evaluating things like depression.

Volunteering to be test subject in a cognitive neuroscience lab. It took a few hours in the tube for me but was completely free.

Do they give you your results back though? I volunteered for one but they told me that they couldn't give my results back, so I didn't participate.

Many years back I had one. Too bad I didn't ask the doctor to give me the images!
(Contemplates nagging him for them...)

I really want to have one done. How do I go about doing this? What type should I get? Do I have to pay for it? Does it depend on the country your in? I live in Canada.

It definately depends on the country where You live. As general a neurologist or a neuro surgeon has to point out the need of a brain MRI for You.

I've gotten two MRIs. Find your local university, and look in the medical-related research labs. Eventually you'll see some ones that do MRIs. Email and volunteer.
