OK I'll start out by saying the only place to get this now is Avant but I suspect that will change (LEF has already added it to some of their products, but in amounts too tiny to do anything). I have no commercial interest.

Although it is being sold by Avant as sesathin for weight loss, it is worth mentioning because it is a very potent anti-inflammatory, sort of a super fish oil. For more information see:

http://magazine.mind...D=23&pageID=297

"Sesamin (aka SesaThin™) is a naturally occurring lignan present in sesame oil. It possesses great potential for decreasing fat mass and in fighting obesity and Metabolic Syndrome X (MSX), via its effects on fatty acid oxidation and adipogenic gene expression. And, with research showing very strong correlations between inflammation, oxidative stress, obesity, and MSX, SesaThin’s anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties could be just as significant, if not more so."...

and

their Q & A thread:

http://forum.avantla...327&hl=sesathin

There will probably be a longer write up....at some point over at avant.

Cheapest source now is Avant as they have a sale of the cap form. 1fast may be a tiny bit cheaper for the liquid form.

Oh and yes I'm taking it but I'm 44. I would recommend it for health purposes for people over 40. Perhaps if you are 30, doing everything else in terms of supps and interested in being aggressive.

Scott,

What are your results from the sesathin? Your experiences?

The Avant forum seems hohum about weight loss. There has been a lot of talk about loss of libido in men, flatness of muscles, allergies, as wells as PMS symptoms being lessened.

As long as the loss of libido has to do with Nitrous Oxide (NO) then perhaps it is temporary. I just don't want it to be something hormonal. I wonder if it will be a pain killer of my Rheumatoid Arthritus. (yeah, I am 30 years old and have it). fish oil is supposedly huge for this.

I wonder what AOR thinks of Fish oil dosage and/or sesathin dosage. Avant (twin peak) was recommended 10 grams of fish oil for endomorphs when on a carb cycling diet... I am doing the carb cycling diet and was wondering if I should try this out.

I think Sesathin is amazing for weightloss. I have gotten shredded like never before in my life using it. I have had a little spare tire since puberty. The only thing remaining now is small love handles, which I would imagine would be best treated by lipo.

Ok, I will give it a shot, I was just playing devil's advocate again. I got a few good recommendations (Twin Peak, Scottl, Lynx). I like the carb cycle diet that Twin Peak recommended. I speculate that there is little if any side-effects overall (which would be temporary anyway). I will let you know how it goes.
