Team Guidelines

a. Snail mail and/or phone gain points by posting the name of the person they are sending the letter to, the letter they are sending, and a verification when it is sent. The posts must be made in this topic.

With phone the person must post the name of the person they are going to call, post what they are going to say, and then post what the people on the phone said when they are done.

b. Email gains a person points when they do the same as with snail mail.

For April Im looking to send to MaxWatts suggestion from last month, http://www.longecity...1-vip-outreach/
and or Norm Macdonald. I saw Norm on tv a few weeks ago talking about how he finds it strange that science is investigating arthritis and what not but that they dont seem to be investigating "this death thing." His attitude toward it, towards its obvious qualities was refreshing. I wonder if he thought about it on his own or if the meming that the indefinite life extension communities have been putting out has worn off on him.

I still have those two picks as an option.

For April I contacted who I believe was one of the Apple founders. He responded, I wrote back, but I dont think it will go any farther as he gave me one of the really bad fallacious excuses, which I was rather surprised of coming from somebody like that. He told me that he doesnt think it would be desirable because you would lose all of your old important memories.

With this Apple founder here, Steve Wozniak, he said he didnt support indefinite life extension at that time.

On August 3rd I went to watch Transcendent Man in the theater, the Barry Ptolemy (<Longecity interview, also an Outreach contact) documentary of Ray Kurzweil. They held an awesome, novel live discussion panel that they broadcast in between clips of the movie. One of the people on the panel was Steve Wozniak.

For this outreach topic here, I contacted him randomly, I was surprised to see they picked him as part of the panel. While up on the panel, Steve said that he used to think he didnt want indefinite life extension, but that he now thinks he would like to extend his life long enough to at least be able to witness the singularity. Did this team contacting him make him think about it and sway him at all? We cant be sure, but it might have.

This stuff all add up. Remember 7 degrees of separation. This stuff spreads fast. Imagine how many success stories and potential success stories we'll be able to report with a few more people helping to write letters each month. You can do a month here or there if you want, or commit to a block of months. You could for example, have us mark you down for 3 months.
