I have read somewhere that liquid deprenyl is better than the solid tabs, but I would like to know why?

If they are the same taking the tablets would make sense, they it is cheaper this way...

Opinions?

...that would be because it's difficult to break up the tabs into 1mg pieces.

Are the tabs really 5mg (very small), or are they bigger, but with some filler in them?

If they have a good size, cutting them with my pill slicer would be easy, but if they are too small...

I think Lemon's point is that with the liquid you don't have to mess with cutting it up. You get 1 mg per drop, so its a much neater solution. If you have already ordered tablets, then ya, cutting them should be fine (but a little messy).

Yeah, I got all these little differently measured pieces running around. 1 drop is 1 mg. The call it selepryl.

liquid deprenyl is slightly different chemically from tabs. The liquid is usually a solution of the citrate salt. Supposedly that makes it better absorbed. It definately is easier to measure and use in the small doses that a life extensionist would be considering. I prefer the liquid for the ease of use and the possibility of being more effective.

I have never felt a subjective effect from low dose deprenyl. I have been taking 4-5mg per week for about 8 years now. I take it for the possible life extension and neurologic protection. I would carefully consider before taking it at larger doses for other effects - like a reputed nootropic effect - and I personally wouldn't consider taking it at all before age 40.

What effects did you notice from it at 4-5 mg?

I'm 34 and I take 3-5 1mg drops a week....This winter I have no SAD depression....getting work done enthusiastically. I might try a peak, and then come off it all just to make sure.

Jubai, I think that some liquids are losing effectiveness in cold, and to turn it to solid you gotta cool it down too in the process...
