Cerebral health were a recommended company in this forum and I placed and order for arounf $350 dollars 6th Feb. No shipment and Google checkout showed non despatch 11th Feb.

I emailed Cerebral and on the 14th they emailed to tell me 1 of my products was on back order and promised shipment in just a few days.

Now 27th Feb, and after several polite emails, I have heard nothing, These people wont even bother to reply to an email.

I will now try to take my money back via Google checkout and my credit card company. I would never buy anything from this mob again.

Yes i am angry, there is no need to treat customers like this.

Yes, in my book, selling 99% resveratrol and delivering a product that doesn't look like 99% resveratrol is bad. Looks bad, sounds bad, is bad. I was hoping to get a half assed explanation that a 50% trans/emodin mix was 99% resveratrol. No reply yet, to my two emails asking for an explanation. I see no evidence that Cerebral Health is a esponsible vendor. I kiss my money good-bye.

Because I believe strongly in doing good businesses and in the importance of word-of-mouth, I will stop doing business with Cerebral Health until they get their act together. Although I've never experienced difficulty with them, the only way to get companies to respond to issues like this is to begin applying pressure. I am seeing a higher frequency of complaints at the mind/body forums I frequent so it seems their bad business and slow shipping are becoming a trend. Rather than continue supporting a company that is screwing over its consumers and risk being on the receiving end of a good screwing, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Thanks for sharing guys. Any suggestions for alternatives?

The day after I send them an email stressing that I have given them plenty of chances to sort this matter out (after all, thibgs dont always run smoothly) and I make clear that I will let my issues be known here, I get an email (a little short and off hand), from Prof. Douglas J. Phillips II, Director of R&D, Cerebral Health, LLC to tell me that, and I quote...

'What you ordered is in extremely high demand and in limited supply.'

Well Prof, my money is in high demand and in short supply, but I paid you right away.

It annoys me that any company can treat its customers in this way. proper treatment of me would have ensured my custom for ever. now I wont use them again. I would rather use the company I have found to supply mt 25kg at a time and save me the monety and hassle.

My custom and the negative feedback here could easily have been saved with a simple emal to let me 'the customer' know what was going on !!

It is of course up to you guys if you order from CH, I have added this now in the spirit of fairness.

The goods have now been shipped.

However, until its in my hands, I havent had it

I've noticed that cerebral health rather keeps you waiting than informing you that something is out of stock.
The moment you make a google checkout dispute you get your money back, though. It's not like they intend to scam you, it's just bad communication on their part.
I never really had problems with their products.

Did you order bulk Adrafinil? I am currently looking for a reliable source that ships to the USA ...I have a Provigil script but it's way too expensive ($500 for 15 x 100mg) with my insurance.

We have seen a significant spike in emails and phone calls and trying to respond to as many as possible, but we are focused primarily on getting orders processed and out the door.

I appreciate your difficulty, but I sent my first email to you on the twelfth of February. That is a month and a half, maybe the headline on this thread is correct. "Not a good company - avoid" Look at the link below and please explain how that powder can be 99% resveratrol per your label. I have been buying from Revgenetics and their 98% resveratrol was always white. How can 99% resveratrol be any color but white? What is this stuff?

I didn't stop buying at Revgenetics, they started selling only micronized resveratrol, and dropped regular resveratrol. I thought because of good reports about Cerebral Health that I would be satisfied like I was at Revgenetics.

I might order from cerebral health again if they start telling consumers what is in their product. As far as I can tell, most of their bulk herbs are unstandardized, which means, for example with ginkgo, that you're not getting the full effects. For all I know, their bulk ginkgo powder could contain poisonous parts of the plant. Also, why don't they seem to display any lab tests for heavy metals?

They never gave me issues with delays, but it makes sense they'd have delays if they were so busy.

Maybe you missed my post - but here I will try again. But, it is kind of hard to think that you missed my posdt because Longecity sends you a link right to my post. I would like the courtesy of a reply. Maybe I am 100% off base, but I need an explanation why your 99% resveratrol doesn't look like any high test resveratrol I have seen. Why isn't yours white?

I have a link below to a picture of your resveratrol poured on a piece of white paper. It does not look like resveratrol.

Wikipedia says this is what it should look like.

I can't say anything about Reservatrol, but the 50g bulk Adrafinil I ordered last week had prompt shipping. Qualitatively, having taken Provigil for two months, I'm also quite sure it is the product specified.

I would like to add: It would put my mind much more at ease, however, if detailed composition sheets / chemical test data on purity or laboratory origins for verification were provided with each product. Really, anything more than a branded sticker with a mere label.

I got that from the website. However, for all I know, it could be 100% organic ginkgolic acid, which is a suspected cytotoxin, allergen, mutagen, and carcinogen, and which also occurs naturally in ginkgo leaves. Many suppliers remove the ginkgolic acid (down to <5 ppm) through chemical processes. You should also let your consumers what your product DOES contain, in addition to what it DOES NOT contain. Many herbs need to be "distilled", so that their desired chemicals occur in greater concentrations...and otherwise, these extracts are useless because the therapeutic chemicals occur in trace concentrations. In the case of ginkgo, we expect it to contain glycosides and terpenes. (24%/6% is typical).

I hope you are taking these precautions and selling a standardized extract, and if you are, please indicate this on your website, so that educated people will know what they are buying before they choose you as a supplier.

Ok, so Synapse is ignoring me. I thought I deserved an explanation for what he shipped me. He doesn't seem to think so.

I think he is a case of sometimes he's good and sometimes he is bad. I got the bad. And then I got the double bad when Synapse refused to defend his product. Do you think he is embarrassed by this? I think not. Dasheenster was specific about what he asked for, and he got a non-responsive reply. Is Synapse thick or clever? Did he not understand what Dasheenster was asking, or did he reply with the best that he had? I can't decide.

I say buying from him isn't worth the risk.

I can tell he's being evasive and not telling us most of his secrets. I've seen him reply to a few old threads, indicating that he most likely reads every response to the threads in which he posts, replying to the easy ones and brushing the difficult ones under the rug. I do not mean to launch an attack on cerebral health, since I try my best to be fair to all businessmen, but ignoring questions to continue selling poisons is frankly evil, and there is no way I'm going to let him continue his trickery scotch-free. Either start answering the questions you've ran from in the past on this board, or I'll take some of my time in the next weeks to expose your lack of responses to this community!

I simply don't have time to respond to every post and question. You have no idea how bombarded I am with emails and phone calls from customers (let alone my students). ImmInst is only one among several forums I am active in. In regards to the Ginkgo Biloba, I have already said its 100% certified organic ginkgo leaves. Beyond that, I have nothing more to say. We have not done additional testing on all the active chemicals in the Ginkgo leaves. If you want to yourself, be my guest. In regards to the Resveratrol, it is brown in color and extracted from Japanese knotweed. And as I have said in the past, you may return products for a 100% refund for any reason whatsoever. We provide the highest quality products we have found on the market and send them out as fast as possible. Demand has been exceptionally high of late and we are attempting to meet customer needs as best as we possibly can, but we are by no means perfect.

I don't have a lab, nor a mass spectrometer. You guys are supposed to make those connections, not me, the consumer. Seeing as there are other domestic suppliers with similar prices on ginkgo who claim to have 24%/6% of flavones/terpenes and who claim to verify ginkgolic acid is well below 5 ppm, I think I'll go with them. If I used about 1/3 of the ginkgo before I decided it was having adverse effects, would you still offer a refund? Or does it have to be unopened? I hope you realize you can't sell such an untested product in Germany, where they regulate supplements, and impose the 5 ppm requirement on ginkgo supplements.

i totally understand your desire to have a more thorough chemical analysis of the ginkgo biloba. its a relatively minor product for us and while i feel our ginkgo is top shelf, it would be nice to have a more thorough analysis of the actives.

Oh, you agree? I hope your company allocates funds for such a project in the not-too-distant future. Further, it seems many of your products are "minor". Amongst the bulk products which interest me, only bacopa is standardized (to the usual 20% bacosides content). I would appreciate more than a link to wikipedia, also. I find parts of the websites to be "bare bones". Fellow consumers will hopefully relate to what I'm saying.

You also ignored a question of mine which was pretty critical (send me a PM), as well as a trivial fact about the history of the German Commission E, which isn't as critical given how busy you are. To be honest, the reason I want to send my ginkgo back is because I believe the high levels of ginkgolic acid are exacerbating the eczema on the tops of my hands. Ginkgolic acid may have therapeutic (anxiolytic) effects [http://www.springerl...jxtmfaxq2ek3r4/] independent of its allergenic mechanisms, but this chemical isn't one I'm too fond of.

Who regulates the quality of dietary supplements anyways? It doesn't seem like anyone does .

No one in the US. This is why there are so many shitty products and hack companies - the FDA steers clear of the 'supplement' category. Fortunately, it is also how we get our hands on a number of different drugs (including adrafinil, prodrug of the very expensive and highly regulated modafinil): they're classified as 'supplements' rather than 'drugs'.

To be honest, I would recommend wholesale capsuled racetams. Before I was able to purchase caps from "SNS" or "Serious Nutrition Solutions" but they don't seem to have much in stock as before. "Smart Drugs for Thought" has a much better deal with faster shipping and they are capped in HPMC or Vegetarian capsules (meaning the capsules are made of vegetable cellulose). SDfT seem to be very trusted from the reviews I see on their recent ebay listings and from their website. This is very close to the cost of a bulk racetams, but with quality and without the cost in the purchase of capsules - in this case vegetarian capsules. I was however skeptical about their product - Neuro Boost Piracetam - as I was one of the first buyers from them when they launched on ebay. Just to say the least, I have not noticed a change in quality and effectiveness as compared to the SNS brand. I would also like to add I received my first 2 bottles exactly 2 days after the day of purchase. I still give them the same A+ rating they received from me on ebay 2 months ago and this will continue. They also seem to be coming out with a new product called "Neuro Wave" as I was informed via email. Quite honestly and personally, I could never trust or care for the bulk racetam "deals". You get for what you pay for in that case.

Are you sure it's the best idea to get them pre capped? I've heard the 'sweet spot', the amount that gives the best of effects, can vary widely for most, I would think it better to get them in powdered form.
