Excellent comments - thank you. I take them all on board.
Totally agree Cephalon on the double edge sword of studies. One technique I use for getting around this is following experts who have specialised in a niche for decades - preferrably old veterans like Lester Packer, Bruce Ames or Denham Harman. I've been following what they take. Chances are if they have been in the game for 50 years their sense of accuracy must be higher than just any techy in a lab or some ghost writer like above who misleads us on the zinc dosages.... I also think coming to terms with the economics principle of trade off's helps frame the problem better. For example I've found that to stop my insulin from spiking too high I eat leafy greens 'first' with many meals - I have however accepted the fact that I might occasionally be overdosing on iron as a trade off for this.
Benedictus, thanks - financially I think you do make a great point. Something to consider... I guess it depends what the option is! Right now I don't have a girlfriend or family to look after. I'm imagining the pills and potions will have to be toned down a bit. I studied pychology so use execution as a technique for remembering the information ie. simply buying the vitamins and having them forces you to remember the value of what they do.
One factor I think you should consider is the compounding effect. Tiny variations compounded over a long period create big effects.....
ps. apologies for the grammar - what a waste of money on all that private school education
