What about making some list what kind of people could do with their mental capabilities?

I'm autistic, I have developed a lot of empathy over the years and I'm very sensitive. I also suffer from many other mental issues but I can push those symptoms down with substances.

I'm not some crazy psychopath or something but I appear that way to other people. 23 year old loner that wants work.

Right now I do some internet marketing, but I don't want to SCAM people with crap. My heart is good.

Offtopic: how do I delete thread. Sorry for double posts, my internet is slow or this website is.

Btw: Being a psychiatrist is my dream. I have learned so much about medicines in the past and the most important the experiences with them. I realize how people react differently to different medications than other people. It's all about a person his own perspective and try to see view . I can read people pretty good ( selfish to say these things about myself [ people put the craziest shit on their CV ), I try to how they feel and listen carefully.Let them speak if they want and ask the good questions and see how they response. etc....

Problem is I'm a diagnosed social phobic , but now with the right medicine I have it under control. With the right thoughts in my mind I pretty sure I can do it without. Oh yeah I also have ADD. Only nicotine patches and dexedrine work good enough for my attention/focus, executive function are improved on them. I can live with it.

What other jobs are people are left for people with autism ? Voluntary work?

Oh I'm Dutch. Sorry the weird sentences.

Hey Rockmaster,

Maybe you can contact 'Stichting MEE', they can help you finding a job. You can also try a study (HBO or university) with the 21+ test.
What medication do you use, if I may ask?

Sorry for this thread. I was high on drugs. Insane.

Never mind. I am diagnosed with PDD-NOS. Currently I get better support to find suitable work for me

I'm 23 years old, isn't that a bit too old too study again? AH it's late. Better off sleep G'night.

You could hack into your college's social networks and use the profiles there to invent a game that disrespects women in a major way. Then you could create a social network encompassing 900 million people, ripping off your closest associates in the process, for no particular reason. Once that network is established you could repeatedly override the members' privacy settings, causing havoc and getting career school teachers fired, just 'cause you hate limits. Then you could roil the stock market and go on your honeymoon. All while wearing a T-shirt.

Nice. Why do you react this way?

23 years old is by no means too late to study. I'm still studying and I'm... well past 23.

What about computer work, web development, programming, and so on? Have you done anything along those lines before? My impression is that many people on the autism spectrum have some natural aptitude or interest in these areas. At the very least computer work would be a field where deficits in terms of social interaction would be less of an issue.

You might want to check out some of the online computer science or programming courses on www.coursera.org.

Good luck!

Perhaps pharmaceuticals and chemistry could be the thing for you. How about working in a pharmacy?

Programming? I'm not that clever. I need 15 mg dexedrine multiple times every day to focus on shit.

Working in a pharmacy? I don't have the right papers for that.

Thanks for suggestions

Some things just take time. Whatever you enjoy doing the most is what you should start with. Even if it doesn't make money or immediately seem like you could ever get a job related to it.

Remember, try new things, find a habit in your life, a habit that you love to do, make it in to a profession or study for it.

It's never too late to study my friend, heck most people I know are going to college and they all are past their 30´s.

Vitamin B12, together with B1, B6 and Folic acid; calcium with magnesium; vitamins C with E, and omega 3 fatty acids, are crucial for the regeneration, growth and proper function of the brain. This is particularly relevant in the treatment of autism. Since only the methylcobalamin form the vitamin B12 is beneficial to the central nervous system.

Most people with autism either do arts or science, or anything in between like industrial design and architecture.
Both limit social interaction quite a bit so you don't get judged for acting strange all the time and it will definitely not affect your career.
That's what people like to think anyway.
You can work whatever you like if it makes you happy, that's what I think. If you do your job good people would just think you're eccentric and leave it at that.

You kind of remind me of an aspie friend who tried human bonding hormone (oxytocin acetate or oxytocin factor) and left his social phobias behind only to find that all of the other mental problems stemmed from a deficit of HBH. Last i talked to him he was only using small amounts very infrequently in new social situations. It's like he turned into a social butterfly. And yeah, I thought he was talking about oxycontin too, but he's not the druggy type.

Thanks guys. Sorry for responding late but only high doses of dexedrine help my depression so far ( I am able to start up my computer and write my shit) . My life is pretty messed up at the moment and I am on anti psychotics now. I'm out again of dexedrine and the next days is sleep (my hobby). I do some work now but after work I go straight to home into my bed. I hate life that much. I try to play some games but I need to follow my heart and find my passion. I am now globally hated and it makes me nuts ( suicidal thoughts). That oxycontin stuff sounds interesting , do I need prescription for it? So im out of my dexies again. Going to hit the gym once. Its so mentally draining but I just do it. Will read the rest later of this topic.

I always think too much, enjoy little, barely talk, excessive anxiety, (ADD?) , anhedonia, chronic fatigue. social phobia. This is my life. Can hardly think anymore because of what I have done. I want to get out of here. Don't worry nothing will happen... Oh yeah I take some huge multi vitamin (opti men helps me) fish oil and magnesium. Also curcumin.

Thanks everyone. :) And sorry again what can I do back.
