Right now I am using the medium of Second Life to Brainstorm about all the familiar topics on Life Extension. It is my intent to keep doing this for the foreseeable future. I am well aware that SL is not to everyone's taste as a medium of choice to "communicate" or "interact" virtually but somehow it works for me. I would invite interested parties to join us every sunday and enter SL. My intent is to slowly bootstrap these talks to an attendance of 40+ in the next months. That's pretty big even for a weekly "meat" event, and the quality of talk during these events (while meandering) is often of high quality.

You can find more details on content and past events here. The topics often lean heavily towards the transhumanist angle. Also, these events can be quite outspoken.

If you aren't sure on how to enter SL, I suggest you have a look at some online (youtube) tutorials. There are many. To get an account, register here. The recommended SL client (Firestorm) you can download here. Creating an interactivity avatar takes about an hour, getting used to the interface might be a little more daunting.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you try it might end up surprising you.

I can see the merit of this approach. I am taking part (for the first time) in a virtual symposium in Second Life:

I don't know how it will work out, but it is a useful medium than can be used to teach, inform and collect ideas from.

Glad to see someone still active in the second life platform. There is a steep learning curve for getting the most out it. If you have some tips or tricks to share that would help people get more out of it, please share, maybe it will become an important place for life extension activism.

This could be huge for second life: http://www.kurzweila...-to-second-life and for a lot of other gaming-type applications (hopefully for life extension too, somehow)
