Waiting on pins and needles as to the out come of the ALA testing! While a strong indication of mercury issues means a long road lays ahead at least you know the path that requires taking. Best wishes.

Thanks all. I really appreciate everything you have done and said. Yogi, you mentioned spiritual issue- that's not the first time I've been told that. Would you care to elaborate? I will do the ALA testing on sunday during the day as I'm off that day. I will let you guys asap.
What do you guys think of the possibility of neurological lyme disease?

Where are you at conceptually with spirituality? How do you see life, the world, etc? If you want to discuss that maybe I could help, but not knowing where you're at it would be difficult.

I looked up the western blot and it's said to be negative in some cases of Lyme. Some doctors also read it differently, did the same doc read both tests?

Lyme's a good possibility from the symptoms. I just don't see how the Windmill would cause consistent tiredness, it could just be a correlation, but the ALA possibility needs to be eliminated.

Did you experience a gradual decline in functioning before you initially stopped the Windmill? Or was it an overnight thing?

How were you treated for Lyme? What antibiotics and for how long?

Would you detail your rife machine treatment? What machine if you know, how many sessions, any effects, etc?

Based on this: http://www.onibasu.c.../amc/48163.html

It looks as though some doctors don't use a standard when interpreting the western blot and that some of the labs have high false positives. If the same doctor did both tests you'd need to find out the lab used and how the test was interpreted, whether to the CDC standard or some other way. If it ends up being Lyme it looks as though you have some learning to do.

This should be helpful in figuring the above out: http://www.lymedisea..._diagnosis.html

So what? I do not agree with yogi about spirituality at all but finding something "distasteful" because of your religion (??) is just nonsense.

I couldnt agree more. My aim here is to probe yogiman's (not yogi) response to someone who would suggest meditating on the scriptures instead of the eastern practice of mindfullness/ loving kindness as a priest/pastor would.

lol at hitchens.
.. this istoo far off topic sry Ill not digress further posting.

Quite frankly I'm disgusted with the suggestions on this thread, but that's beside the point and I'm not looking for a fight.

As a side note, how the fuck do you know you have ICH?

How do you sleep? (feel free to write a mini essay on this question - informantion of length, waking up, how often, how you feel)
How is your appetite?
Is there any major or chronic stressors (bar the illness)?
Have you been getting, worse, about the same or improving? Does it change? Did you get worse after your girlfriend left/you quit your job etc..
Any history (including family history) of drug abuse(not just to get high but it causing a genuine impact on there life)/dependance, suicide or major mental disorder?
Do you have thoughts of suicide or deliberate self harm?
Have you ever been accused of moving, snoring very loudly (or other abnormal breathing lik gasping) while asleep?

Yes, I think this is a primary depressive disorder with severe somatic symptoms and some element of hypochondria and obviously severe anxiety. (of course you would be depressed anyway if something else was causing these symptoms they are causing hell). Whether it was caused by what ever it was you were taking, it was a factor or anything is pretty much irrelevant by now. You have ruled out nearly all other 'real' diagnoses of your symptoms. If you can find the money and you have nothing better to spend it on a polysomnogram might be worth your time.

I agree with the fact there are symptoms of excessive Ach. There is evidence for Suppressed Noradrenergic function (exhaustion). sub-clinical cortisol regulation with about a 50% chance of you finding hyper and 25% hypo. That's enough for me to part from my usual insistence on reasonably following treatment algorithms to suggest you try a Tricyclic Antidepressant. Symptoms and effectiveness would suggest the use of either Amitriptyline or Imipramine. I'm not going to bother giving advice on other equally effective treatment options. I can't see any chance of you following them (quite understandably) until you actually think you are depressed. Although CBT is often used for neurological disorders and may help no matter what your diagnosis - this would obviously include a significant amount of behavioral activation - If I am right (and I'm quite convinced I am) I doubt you will achieve remission with medication alone.

I don't think you will like my diagnosis, nor do I think you will think it likely. Everyone knows there are no tests but there are certainly biomarkers.

A polysomnogram would reveal reduced slow wave sleep (stage 3, used to be known as stages 3 & 4) time & short REM latency (<60mins) in most cases, nearly as common is . Prolonged 30mins + sleep latency, extended TST (total sleep time), poor sleep efficiency and many arosuals are also signs indicative. If you really wanted to go the whole shebang you could have yourself tested for growth hormone release during slow wave sleep, decreased levels are also indicative of depression.

If your MRI showed decreases of mass in the subgenual anterior cingulate cortex, hippocampus and rostral raphe nuclei are big hints. They change is normally small, a casual look and you would miss it.

Clonidine suppression tests

Augmented growth-hormone response to clonidine

Excess or low cortisol and other related HPA abnormality

Low normal on T3 and T4, high normal TSH

I know this is an old thread, but any update to give here?

It blows my mind that no one specifically brought up meningitis/meningoencephalitis. (Or did I just miss that somewhere?) That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that you had a stiff neck.

  • One wonders if huperzine a is similar to gaba receptor agonists?
