I bought 100mg ALA few weeks back and I'm afraid to use it again, I tried it two times and both times I had bad nausea and lower back pain. I didn't vomit but I had same kind of feeling as hangover. Then I bought 650mg NAC and same thing happened but with even worse symptoms. Nausea even lasted two days. Why this is happening? These are first supplements causing me nausea. Please enlighten me!

They are both thiols (-SH compounds) in their reduced forms. That common factor is almost surely the part that's causing the problem, but I couldn't tell you the mechanism. If you're looking for a potent antioxidant that doesn't contain a thiol, you could try c60-olive oil.

Ok, thank you! I checked some list of foods high in thiol and most of them cause me nausea. Is this normal or symptom of something?

I don't think it's "normal", but it's not a symptom of any disease that I know of. You probably just have an unusual gene or two...

Then stop taking them.
Unless you have a medical condition, there really aren't any good anti-aging reasons for taking these two supplements.
